Age of MenaceThis is a featured page

Age of Menace (AOM) is also the name of my monthly contribution to the venerable Amateur Press Association (APA) zine, "Alarums and Excursions" (A&E), edited by Lee Gold continuously since 1975. A&E has won numerous awards as best amateur RPG publication, and its alumni includes Jonathan Tweet, Robin Laws, Spike Jones, Matt Stevens, among many others.

I've been making my irregular AOM submissions to A&Efor over a decade now, and I'm in the midst of makingissue #61.

In addition to talking about gaming and SF in general, and sharing tid-bits of my medical (I started contributingtoA&E the year before starting medical school)and post graduate medical training in Geriatric Medicine, I have also been including many writings, essays and articlescovering my favourite RPG genre, Pulp RPGs.

Some of these articles were collected together and were published in Edmund Shaw's now sadly OOP RPG magazine, "The Familiar", in one two part article in issues #2 and #3. This article is also available on Matt Steven's RPG Web Page.
